Founded in 2001 Madison Art Consulting brings a unique, collaborative and elite approach to creative design. Owner and founder, Nicole Marengo, comes from the philosophy of “build it better together.” Growing up in the Bronx and Blackwood, New Jersey, Nicole learned at a young age the power of passionate entrepreneurship. She graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelors of Science in Business, Minoring in Marketing and Art. With passions rooted in education, innovation, entrepreneurship and challenging the status quo, Nicole was eager to jump right into her career and work her way up.​

When her corporate career and personal interests took her overseas, she became enamored with European architecture and learned the value of teamwork, high-level marketing and professional accountability. Nicole visited the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona by famed architect Antoni Guadi and she was fascinated by the basilica’s complex design history- the exemplar of her “build it better together” philosophy.​

After five years with ING Direct as an Interior Design and Facilities Coordinator, Nicole was inspired and driven to start her own business, Madison Art Consulting. ING Direct was even her first client! Despite opening up during a recession, Madison Art Consulting thrived. Nicole remarked, “I’m so proud of humankind, we actually forget how beautiful we are, how we are able to overcome high stress and strife and to come out of that on top.” As a Latina, woman-owned business, Madison Art Consulting has much to be proud of. Our work has been featured in Healthcare Design Magazine, Contract Magazine, Healthcare Snapshot, PBS and Fox’s “The 215: Local Loves in Architecture and Design.” Nicole serves on the Board of Women in Healthcare and supports the local International Interior Design Association, Network of Executive Women in Hospitality, and the Mural Arts Program.​

Our design work is deeply rooted in the history and culture of Philadelphia, which is showcased at our shared showroom space in The Bourse in Old City Philadelphia. Our core staff and consultants bring a cumulative 86 years of creative consulting, project management, graphic design, studio art, installation and interior design experience. The close-knit team specializes in the healthcare, hospitality, commercial, life sciences and government sectors. Recent projects include, Arthaus, St. Luke’s Pediatric Specialty Center and GEODIS.
